Main Positive Reviews:

An incredible place to visit with family. The gold panning experience was a highlight for the kids.
Very informative and fun. The actors do a great job of bringing history to life.
Great for history buffs. The mine tour is a must-do.
Beautifully maintained and very educational. Worth every penny!
A step back in time. Loved the demonstrations and the friendly staff.
Someone said: If you are interested in history, this is still a great place to visit, and I also loved the lollipop shop here.
Worth a visit, especially during the Winter Wonderlights season.
One review mention: I didn't have high expectations for this visit, but the experience was very interesting!
A very worthwhile place to visit. You can stay inside for over 5 hours. There are performances, a carriage experience (AU$6/person), handicraft shops, a candy store, an old photo shop (not cheap but worth commemorating). The guided underground gold mine tour is just okay. The staff in period costumes on the street are very kind, friendly, and full of enthusiasm, as if they are really the townspeople.

Main Negative Reviews:

The ticket is not cheap, especially when you still need to pay for other activities inside, and the food is overpriced.
Expensive for what it offers. Some areas felt a bit commercialized.
Crowded during peak times, which made it hard to enjoy.
The food options were limited and overpriced.
Some exhibits were closed without notice.
Not much to do for younger children. Mostly adult-oriented.
Some staff are very friendly, but others are a bit rude, especially in the print shop, horse riding, and café. Overall, the experience was very average.
Very very expensive food.
The experience was nice, but there were a lot of people on the weekend.
Someone said: Wet weather was terrible, and the indoor areas became very crowded. Parking was chaotic. Considering how expensive our tickets were, I didn't like how everything else inside was also very expensive.
Crowded, with lines stretching hundreds of meters outside the gates.
One review mention: Overrated and overpriced place. I don't recommend buying tickets in advance in case you change your mind due to the weather, as they do not offer refunds or date changes.
