Singapore- A 5-Day Adventure (and a whole lot of food!)

Singapore, a vibrant city-state where the future meets the past, is a foodie's paradise and a cultural melting pot. My 5-day adventure was a whirlwind of delicious eats, stunning sights, and unexpected thrills. Let me take you on my journey, complete with all the details you need to plan your own epic Singaporean escapade!

Day 1: Merlions, Maxwell, and a Food Coma

Landing at Changi Airport, I was greeted by the familiar scent of durian (don't worry, it's not as bad as you think!). After a quick 1-hour ride to my hotel, the Aqueen Prestige Hotel Lavender, I was ready to conquer Singapore.


Merlion Park (map) - This iconic landmark was my first stop. The Merlion, a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish, is a must-see for any visitor. I spent about 30 minutes snapping photos and soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.


Maxwell Food Centre (map) - My stomach was rumbling, so I headed straight to Maxwell Food Centre, a haven for authentic Singaporean cuisine. I indulged in a plate of Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice (SGD 10) and a side of Chwee Kueh (SGD 2). The flavors were incredible, and the atmosphere was buzzing with energy.

Day 2: Universal Studios, Cable Cars, and Malaysian Delights

The next stop was Universal Studios Singapore (map) - I spent the morning at Universal Studios, riding roller coasters, meeting Minions, and even battling the Cylons on Battlestar Galactica. Sentosa Cable Car (map) - After Universal Studios, I took a scenic ride on the Sentosa Cable Car (Around SGP 2-15). The views were incredible, and I even spotted a few dolphins swimming in the ocean below.


Malaysian Food Street (map) - For dinner, I ventured into the vibrant Malaysian Food Street. The aroma of spices filled the air, and I couldn't resist trying the Curry Fish Head (SGD 20) and a plate of Char Kway Teow (SGD 10).

Day 3: Chinatown, Gardens by the Bay, and Clarke Quay

Today was all about culture and beauty.

Had a wonderful breakfast at Swee Choon Dim Sum Restaurant (map) with just spent Around SGD 20-50.

I started the day by exploring Chinatown (map), a bustling neighborhood filled with traditional shops, temples, and delicious food stalls. I visited the Sri Mariamman Temple, a beautiful example of Hindu architecture, and took a stroll through the vibrant Sago Street. For lunch, I enjoyed a plate of Heng Kee Chicken Rice (SGD 15) at the Chinatown Complex Food Centre.


Gardens by the Bay (map) - Next, I visited Gardens by the Bay, a stunning botanical garden with futuristic Supertrees and a Cloud Forest. The Flower Dome was a sight to behold, with its vast collection of exotic plants.

Clarke Quay (map) - In the evening, I headed to Clarke Quay, a vibrant waterfront area with restaurants, bars, and shops. I took a relaxing river cruise (SGD 25) and enjoyed a delicious French Chicken Cassoulet (SGD 30) at Bones ‘n Slaw Western Restaurant (map)

Day 4: Little India, National Museum, and the Night Safari

Today was a mix of cultural immersion and wildlife encounters.


Little India (map) - I started the day in Little India, a colorful neighborhood with a strong Indian influence. I wandered through the vibrant Serangoon Road, visited the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, and enjoyed a delicious curry (SGD 15) at Tekka Centre.

National Museum of Singapore (map) - Next, I visited the National Museum of Singapore, which tells the story of Singapore's history and culture. The museum was fascinating, and I learned a lot about the country's past. BuyTicket: Here

Night Safari (map) - For dinner, I enjoyed a plate of Bak Kut Teh (SGD 20) at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh The Centrepoint (map). After dinner, I headed to the Night Safari, a unique wildlife park where you can see animals in their natural nocturnal habitat. I took a tram ride through the park and watched the Creatures of the Night Show.

Day 5: Porridge, SkyPark, and a Farewell Feast

My last day in Singapore was a mix of delicious food and stunning views.


Li Fang Porridge (map) - I started the day with a bowl of seafood porridge (SGD 12) at Li Fang Porridge, a local favorite.

Palm Beach Seafood (map) - For lunch, I indulged in a Black Pepper Crab (SGD 35) at Palm Beach Seafood, a restaurant known for its fresh seafood.

Singapore Changi Airport - My journey ended at Singapore Changi Airport, a world-class airport with a variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions. I spent some time browsing the shops and picking up some souvenirs.
