Day 1: From Fish Markets to Sky-High Views

My journey began at the bustling Tsukiji Fish Market (map) ,where the air buzzed with energy. I savored a delicious breakfast of fresh sushi at Tsukiji Togasane Uogashi Chiryori, a local favorite (around JPY 1,500-3,000 per person).

Recommended: Fresh Oysters, Grilled Scallops, Tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette), Sushi, Grilled Eel Skewer


After a short 30-minute train ride, I found myself immersed in the serene beauty of Senso-ji Temple (map), Tokyo's oldest temple, where I wandered through the vibrant Nakamise Shopping Street (map) and the iconic Kaminarimon (map)

Recommended: Visit the main hall, See the Kaminarimon Gate, Shop at Nakamise Street


Lunch was a delightful experience at Asakusa Unana (map), enjoying a traditional Japanese meal (around JPY 500-2,000 per person).

Recommended: Unagi (grilled eel)


The afternoon was a whirlwind of discovery, starting with the vibrant Ameya-Yokocho (map) market, a treasure trove of unique souvenirs and local delicacies.


A quick 20-minute train ride brought me to the towering Tokyo Skytree (map)(BuyTicket: Here), offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city.

Recommended: Visit the Tembo Deck at 350 meters, Go to the Tembo Galleria at 450 meters, Shop at Solamachi (Skytree mall), See panoramic views of Tokyo and Mt. Fuji.


The Tembo Galleria observatory was a highlight, followed by a delicious dinner at Yakiniku JojoEn (map), where I indulged in succulent grilled meats (around JPY 3,000-6,800 per person).

Day 2: From Zoos to Ueno Park's Serenity

My second day began with a leisurely breakfast at Royal Host Hatchobori (map) (around JPY 800-1,200 per person), a short walk from my hotel. A 20-minute train ride took me to the fascinating Ueno Zoo (map), where I spent the morning marveling at diverse animal species.

Recommended: Visit Giant Panda, See the Polar Bears, Ride the Monorail.


Next, I strolled through the tranquil Ueno Park (map), enjoying the serene Shinobazu Pond and the historical Former Kan'ei-ji Five-Storied Pagoda.

My final meal in Tokyo was at Menso-ru Mutekiya (map) (around JPY 1,000-1,500 per person), where I savored delicious ramen. The journey back to Narita Airport was a bit longer, taking around an hour and five minutes by train.
