Energized, I headed on the 12 minute stroll to funky Amerikamura (map) for photogenic spots like Triangle Park and Motozo ICE Dog.

After working up more of an appetite browsing BIG STEP, I took the scenic 26 minute train to the breathtaking Floating Garden Observatory atop Umeda Sky Building (map), around JPY 3,000-8,000 total for the activities. BuyTicket (Obvervatory): Here

Dinner that evening was a perfect end to the day - tempura at cozy Tempura Ebi no Ya (map) along the charming Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street (map), just a 17 minute ride away. Tired but happy, I returned refreshed to the hotel for a good night's sleep.

Day 2

After a restful night, I checked out of the convenient APA Hotel after breakfast. It was just a quick 5 minute stroll over to iconic Tsutenkaku (map) Tower to start the day. I spent a few hours admiring views of the city from the Golden Observatory high above and sliding down the epic spiral slide for around JPY 500-2,000. Fueling up on milk bread breakfast crepes at nearby Coffee Senka Fuke, it was then off on another delightful day of discoveries.

Next was exploring the nostalgic shops and scenery along Shinsekai Hondori Shopping Street (map) - Cost: Around JPY 2,000-5,000, a mere 2 minute walk away. From there it was a pleasant 15 minute train ride to Kitamura Sukiyaki (map) for a delightful traditional sukiyaki lunch set for around JPY 2,000-5,000.
